In October 2001, Winston-Salem Alliance and Action Greensboro joined forces to launch the Triad Entrepreneurial Initiative as a regional economic development coalition focused on the creation of high-growth companies in the Piedmont Triad.
The goals established at that time continue to drive TEI's efforts. They include
Creating a community where entrepreneurs have the opportunity and desire to successfully grow their companies.
Providing ongoing support and continuity to ensure long-term results.
Promoting the NC piedmont triad as a fertile entrepreneurial environment on regional, state and national levels.
Aligning the resources of the triad's economic development, business assistance, entrepreneurial and higher education organizations to meet the needs of new and existing high-growth companies.
Since it's inception, TEI has established a presence in the 12-county Piedmont Triad region which the organization serves.
