Programs for Accredited Investors
PTEN produces an annual "Capital Connects!" networking breakfast, where up to 25 entrepreneurs are showcased for 60-75 accredited investors. This successful event is usually held in late August of each year at Grandover Resort and Conference Center. Over $25 million has been raised directly and indirectly by participating ventures.

Accredited Investor Definition*
An "accredited investor" is any of the following:
- Natural persons (A) with a net worth exceeding $1 million (alone or jointly with a spouse), or (B) with individual net income over $200,000 ($300,000 if joint) for each of the preceding two years, with a reasonable expectation of that income level for the current year;
- Any business entity with total assets in excess of $5 million, not organized for the purpose of making the investment;
- Any private trust with assets in excess of $5 million, not organized for the purpose and directed by a sophisticated person;
- Institutional investors (e.g., banks, insurance companies, investment companies, broker/dealers, thrift institutions, business development companies, SBICs, certain employee benefit plans, and certain 501(c)(3) charitable corporations.); or
- An entity whose equity owners are all accredited investors.
